I was 7 years old when i took my first international holiday. A family cruise on P&O’s ‘Arcadia’ through the South Pacific. It was the adventure of a lifetime for me and a lifelong memory made. As the years passed I spent many hours drooling over pictures of far away places in magazines, dreaming of places to go ‘one day’.
‘One day’ began when school finished. I would work, save, travel on repeat for years until I met my husband Nigel. Ironically we both had international trips already booked when we met – so being true to ourselves – he headed off to Europe on a working holiday and I headed off on a solo ‘around the world’ trip to the South Pacific, USA, Canada and then finally Europe, where we started our life travelling together.
Two beautiful boys came along and finished our little family and the only certainty we knew was that we would continue exploring the globe, kids in tow.
Our trips have often included surfing or beach combing for sea glass, so TRAVEL + TIDE seemed like the perfect fit.
I hope I can instill a little wander lust through the images and destinations in my blog as I try to capture MOMENTS + MEMORIES from around the globe.
