A visit to Hanalei was at the top of our list whilst on a recent trip to the island of Kauai in Hawaii.
The home of late professional surfer Andy Irons, Hanalei is a small surf village right up on Kauai’s North Shore. A backdrop of massive lush mountains rolls down into a perfect horseshoe shaped bay, with Hanalei sitting on it’s shores. Huge waterfalls can be seen in the mountains from the town as clouds bring them in and out of view. It really is a stunning little place and the scenery is worth the island hop from Oahu.
